AK & Associate Architects, established in Athens in 1989, is an international architecture practice delivering design and construction services across all sectors globally.
Led by its founder and experienced Associates, the practice delivers full-spectrum architecture and design services, providing continuity of vision and particular attention to detail at every stage. This allows clients to work with a single practice that maintains oversight and quality control from first sketch to final construction.
Operating across residential, commercial, cultural, public, and hospitality sectors, the practice has delivered projects ranging from private residences and urban developments to hotels and resorts, corporate headquarters, civic buildings, museums and stadiums. Regardless of scale, each project is approached with equal rigour and commitment.
The practice creates architecture as art; balancing tradition with innovation, preserving heritage while embracing contemporary technology and design thinking. Every project turns clients’ aesthetic, function and budget aspirations into reality through tailor-made solutions that deliver spaces defined by quality, durability, and enduring value.
Athanassios Kyratsous
Athanassios Kyratsous completed his studies in Architecture and Urban Design in Italy, culminating in a PhD in monument restoration in Rome, where he established his first architecture studio specialising in the preservation and restoration of historic sites.
Upon returning to Greece, he founded AK & Associate Architects. With decades of international and multi-sector experience, and a distinctive design philosophy, he has maintained the practice's position at the forefront of the architectural profession through complete involvement in design, construction, and client engagement.
Recognising architecture's broader creative and commercial potential, Athanassios has led several other companies: BRD (interior design), Blue Mountain (Cycladic residential development), ELKCO (naval architecture), and Ferma S.A. (furniture design and production). He has also represented Singapore's Pico International in Greece and Eastern Europe for exhibition and corporate space design.
